Review: GoldWave software is small but powerful and designed for audio processing. It is quite a complex program, so that beginners have a hard time using it. The installation is quick in action, but the user interface can seem overwhelming for some people. GoldWaves interface is divided into three windows: main window (which keeps all windows full audio), managing windows, and sound. Window includes a real-time control and control of audio devices. You can display the sound during playback or when it was recorded. You can open as many audio files as you want, but you can change at a time. Menu effect seems to be a bit messy, but it provides quick access to commands that censored (instead of choosing to silence, tone, sound, clipboard), Doppler (dynamic changing pitch), dynamics (distortion, compression or limiting output level), echo, compressor / expander filter (eg automatically remove compensation, equal, or noise reduction quiet, smooth), and Flanger. In addition, you can use interpolate (to smooth the waveforms between the start and end), invert, mechanization, reverb, time warp, voice over, resample, and others. On the Tools menu, you can select Cue Points to identify and describe specific sites within soundtracks, Chain Editor (to create and edit multiple effects), Expression Evaluator, Merge file (audio only), or Talk Converter (text-to-speech and speech spoken text). GoldWave uses a small amount of system memory, and does not crash or deadlock during our tests. The help file is deleted good but could be improved by adding instant. All in all, a great GoldWave audio editor, sound effects bundled with basic and advanced, and is definitely worth your time.
